A Lifetime Passion for Horses
Dr. Lucy Bochynski, PT, DPT, CERP has been passionate about working with horses for over 20 years. She starting off competing in AQHA circuit shows in hunter under saddle and equitation then once heading off to college at UC Santa Barbara competed on the intercollegiate team in equitation over fences. She graduated with a doctorate in Physical therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) where she then went to work for Stanford hospital and UC San Francisco medical center. After transitioning to work in an outpatient orthopedics clinic she decided to use her manual therapy skills to treat equestrians. She began to use physical therapy techniques to treat horses after getting certified as an equine rehabilitation practitioner (CERP) from the University of Tennessee.
In addition to being passionate about treating horses and riders she has travelled to over 30 countries around the world, enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and competing in hunters.
